Royal Orchid Hotels targets 80-90 properties by 2020

Royal Orchid Hotels group at present has 36 hotels in 25 destinations. They mainly operate the premium hotels, helping it to target both the business and leisure traveler. The brand name ‘Regenta’ is an additional business-centric trademark under the name of the Royal Orchid Hotels group. At present, there are 15 hotels under this brand name.

At present, the company has 49 properties in 32 cities across the nation with more than 3,200 rooms.

Royal Orchid Hotels Limited strives to pursue asset acquiring strategy in which they focus on adding new Hotels under its Management Wing. The Company aims to build in all major cities in India. The Company has renovated its most important Hotels and expects a promising year ahead with the newly designed properties lined up for business and addition of more rooms in some of the hotels.

Online booking facilities, social media advertisements and digital operations and IT enabled interactions with the customers have contributed significantly to improve hospitality industry. However, lack of adequate infrastructure, inadequate talent pool and high attrition rates are still some of the teething problems in the hospitality industry.

The company is hoping to have 80 to 90 properties by the year 2020. This will include 2-3 properties that are out of the country over the next three years.

According to a top company official, Royal Orchid Hotels group are on a rapid development mode and are aiming to get upto 80-90 properties by 2020. According to him, the company  is also in final stages of development with 2-3 hotels overseas, and is hoping for 2-3 hotels in India in the next 2-3 years,"

Royal Orchid Hotels’ current managing director, Chender Baljee said that the company is in a rapid expansion mode to build a hospitality empire in India.

However, he refused to disclose the locations of the hotels in several foreign countries that the company is rumored to be looking at.

For the time being, the group's proceeds are expected to increase by over 13 percent to Rs 170 crore in this economy as compared to Rs 150 crore in 2016-17. With Sales Offices at 11 locations across India like Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Goa, Pune, Mysuru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, the Company is penetrating deep into the market for a better market share and following an aggressive feet-on-the-street approach to meet all potential clients in the corporate sector and travel agents parallelly.

The Hospitality Industry has grown at a tremendous pace over the years and has emerged as one of the key drivers of growth of the services sector in India. The industry is seeing a cumulative annual growth rate of 11.7% every year and is expected to grow further.

In India, the Royal Orchid Hotel group aims to add more properties to their list that will spread out across the country.

They hope to add 15 more hotels to the already huge group to take the tally to approximately 90 properties next year with a total of 4,500 rooms.

Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh are the main focus for expansion the Hospitality Company along with strengthening their presence in the present markets.
