Latest addition to Vivo, V9 has gone on sale in India via offline stores from today. It will be available on Amazon, Paytm, Flipkart and Vivo E-Store from the 5th of April. At the launch, the company had mentioned that the smartphone will be available online and offline from the 2nd April, 2018. However, this is not the case, pre-bookings are open via online stores but the phone will only be available from the 5th.

Consumers who pre-book the phone will get one-time screen replacement warranty, no-cost EMIs and an additional discount of INR 2,000. Additionally, Paytm is also giving a cashback of INR 2,299 on using the code ‘VIVOV9’ and Amazon is giving a cashback of 5 percent in the form of Pay balance. Amazon and Vivo e-store are offering couple movie tickets from BookMyShow with the Vivo pre-orders.

Vivo V9 is a dual SIM phone that runs Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC and is coupled with 4BG of DDR3 RAM. It has an Oreo and sports a 6.3 inch full HD IPS Fullview Display 2.0 with 19:9 aspect ratio. In addition, it features bezels of 1.85mm on top which are said to be 76% less than the previous generation. It has a full view display and delivers a 90 % screen to body ratio. With a dual rear camera setup and a primary 16-megapixel sensor, the phone has a 5-megapixel secondary camera coupled with f/2.0 and f2/.4 apertures respectively. It offers an Ultra HDR mode.

It has the AI based face beautify app for video call beautification and selfies. In addition, it has AR stickers apart from the ‘Portrait’ lighting effect and Bokeh depth of field effect. The phone comes with Face Access 2.0 that will help unlock the phone using face recognition and works for App Lock. It has a 64GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 256 GB via a dedicated micro SD card slot. The connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors include an ambient light, accelerometer and a proximity sensor. It runs on a 3260mAh battery with no fast charging support and will come in three colour variants-Pearl Black, Champagne Gold and Sapphire Blue.
